Forensic Accounting & Fraud Investigation

ICAI-certified forensic reviews for companies, banks and institutions where the numbers need to withstand challenge.

Forensic work differs from audit in what it has to withstand: findings are challenged, often in a proceeding. Our ICAI-certified forensic practice investigates suspected fraud in companies, banks and institutions — tracing transactions, testing the documentary trail, and quantifying loss in a form that can be put in evidence. We conduct lender and bank fraud reviews, anti-money-laundering reviews and whistle-blower complaint investigations, and we assess fraud risk and control design where the aim is to prevent rather than to investigate.

Banks and lenders engage us where an account has turned and the conduct needs examining. Companies engage us on suspected misappropriation, procurement and vendor fraud, or a whistle-blower complaint that has to be investigated properly rather than informally. We also act in commercial disputes where quantum is contested and a court or tribunal needs the calculation explained. Every engagement is scoped so that the findings, and the method behind them, can be defended if they are challenged.
